Maison De Choup SS17 Launch Party

Last night was the launch party of Maison De Choup's latest collection 'Warrior not Worrier'. George David Hodgson, the brilliant designer of the collection, invited myself and a plus one to the launch event and it was such a great experience. We were able to see the brand new collection first hand while sipping on some beautiful cocktails and networking with other bloggers, designers, and even authors.

The venue was gorgeous and was the perfect place for this event. The bar was providing us with a selection of delicious drinks including two types of gin cocktails and glasses of prosecco. Before long we were a little bit tipsy and happily chatting with everyone and anyone! George himself was so welcoming and was lovely to chat to. He couldn't have been a better host for the event, constantly walking around and talking to everyone and making sure everyone was having a good time - which we definitely all were!

For those of you that don't know, Maison De Choup is a brand that supports the mental health charity 'Young Minds'. 25% of their sales on particular garments goes straight to the charity and I think that is incredible. Mental health causes are very close to my heart so it has been amazing to be able to support a new brand in their journey while also supporting such a great cause.

To the event I brought with me my friend, flat mate, and fellow blogger Harry Jackson (you can check out his street style blog here). It was great to have a friend at the event to awe over the collection with. As we looked at the collection we noticed how unique and varied the designs were. They weren't simply shirts and hoodies with a graphic on them, they had so much meaning behind them. The 'breathe' and 'resist' shirts really did represent what the brand is all about - helping and relating to those with mental health issues. The 'Warrior not Worrier' print really shared the message clearly - you can beat this. Whether it's anxiety, depression, paranoia, or any other issue - you can recover. You are a warrior.

It was amazing to get to meet some gorgeous people at the event. These ladies were so friendly and lovely to chat to! Above is @roxanne.rose, @charlottedmonds, @ashleighb1996, @themessyedit@caitlinporter_x and my lovely plus one @_hmlj! Give these gorgeous instagrammers a follow!

The lovely Emily from The Messy Edit

The gorgeous Roxanne from Rox & Roses

The event was so amazing and I'm so happy to have had the honour of attending and supporting a brand with such as amazing cause at its heart. Thanks to @georgedavidhodgson for the invitation!

For those of you that have not heard of Maison De Choup, I can't recommend checking out their website enough! Keep a look out on my blog for an OOTD in my new Maison De Choup shirt from the SS17 collection very soon!
