Maybelline Baby Lips Review

So I popped into boots before work on Saturday and noticed that they were doing a buy one get one half off offer on all makeup. I grabbed my normal powder (Rimmel London Pressed Powder - 004 Sandstorm - 3.99) and thought I'd try one of these as well. They've been really popular on beauty blogs lately so I wanted to see what all the hype was about.
I chose 'Hydrate' because it was a clear colour as I didn't want to try a pink or red one because I wasn't sure how obvious the colour would be.

The packaging claims that it gives you 8 hours of moisture. I can tell you straight off that this is false. When you first apply it, it feels like you've basically coated your lips with water. It takes a bit to get used to. The moisture lasts about an hour - maybe a bit less - and then it's gone. It also claims that...

76% of people's lips look conditioned and cared
76% of people will have healthier looking lips
73% of people's lips will feel protected (because of the SPF20)
73% of people's lips will feel baby soft

I have to say, once the product has been applied it has all of those qualities but after it wears off it left my lips cracked. Now this is only my opinion so I must be one of the 24/27% that doesn't think these effects are good enough.

I know a lot of blogs claim that this product is amazing, but I'm going to be 100% honest at tell you that I unfortunately was very disappointed with this product and will be going back to Nivea Essential Care.

Score: 2.5/10

Sorry but this product was not for me! I try to see the good in many products, but this one was a major let down. I hope you all found this helpful, but if you have any other opinions or even agree with me, feel free to leave a comment below. I love all my followers, commenters, and readers!
